Our room was not great but no bites so we were happy leaving Palas de Rei in the rain. We walked for an hour for coffee at a place that was crowded. That is a bad thing in these little places because there is usually just one or two people handling a crowd of pilgrims. The coffee was good, they had French toast ala Espana and a giant tortilla that served two. We continued walking in the rain to our next stop. The second Coca-Cola in a month after none for years. Great. The paths were not too muddy and we got into Melide early. Washing machine and dryer at the alburgue across the way made that chore easy and cheaper than most. We had an appetizer of pulpo, that is, octopus. We got the small plate. Helen loved it but Ag, Linda and I thought it was just okay but not a do-over. We left there and walked toward out Pension and had a light dinner. It had stopped raining so we were dry on the walk home. Another great day on the Camino.
