We had a rest day in Astorga because we were afraid we would melt in the rain. Had a leisurely hotel breakfast and roamed around this town of about 12,000. The Gaudi designed Bishop’s Palace was closed and we ate chocolate instead of going to the Chocolate Museum. Shopped for stuff to help on reveals but didn’t find anything. A good rest day. Had a good dinner after shopping for a place to eat. Ran into our Italian Camino Friend, Sylvia and exchanged e-mail addresses. Got to talk with Maeve, a twenty-seven from New Jersey who left her teaching job in Manhattan to travel for three months. Nice kid who is comfortable with and likes talking with old guys. We will have a short walk tomorrow in the rain. Ag has our walk planned so that we walk into Santiago on the 25th. That will leave us time to take the bus to Finesterre. Another grand day on the Camino.
