Through Pamplona on September 8th

We started a load of clothes ( Yes, that’s right, on this wonderful adventure we wash our clothes every day) but it’s lights out at ten.  We couldn’t get the washer to spin and the / brother and I were trying to figure it out.  I reached for the spin button and he slapped my hand away.  It was funny but all I was thinking was that I would have to carry clothes.  The selfie is the brother.  I will post the pics and post more tomorrow.

  1. The pictures are lovely. Love those small adventures in traveling (like meeting the Brother and the washing machine travails). Keep posting and happy walking!

    1. Hey Tom – 500 miles! Why didn’t you tell us it was that far before we left? We are doing the Camino at an old guys’ pace. We have as much time as we need. We only have one deadline, to be in Leon on September 30th to meet our daughter’s mother-in-law. We did nine miles today and we are getting stronger each day. The topography will improve for mileage also. Thanks for following. Stay tuned.

      1. As the day is the 10th and you need to be there by the 30th you will have to average over 22miles a day. That assumes you have been walking for six days and averaging 8 miles per day. Oops!

      2. Leon is about 220 so we can make it without killing ourselves. Walking is one thing. Walking with a pack is hard. They say we will get stronger. We will see. Stay tuned.

      3. I’m so impressed with your ambitious journey! My best to you both. Don’t worry about Tom. He just likes doing the math and wants to be helpful-ha,ha (?!) You are a inspiration….Kathy (Tom’s wife)

      4. Thanks Kathy. We are having toast and jam for breakfast with thunderstorms forecast over our thirteen miles for today. Say a prayer. I am asking that a lot lately. No worries. Stay tuned.
