To Zubiri on September 6th

The night before we left Espinal we asked the innkeeper to make a reservation at an alburgue in Zubiri about a 10 mile walk.  That let us take our time and not worry about getting there too late for a bed.  We tried hotels but had no luck getting a room.  It was another cool, glorious day.  We stopped at Bar Juan after a few miles and got a bacon and cheese bocodillo, a sandwich of crusty bread.  Walked a few miles and had lunch at Noon on a log in the shade.  Walked a few more miles up and down some pretty steep hills.  Got to Alburgue de Palo right at three.  A nice, new place that was very comfortable for dormitory arrangements.  We showered and went next door for a beer where we net Pat and Burt from near Ottawa, Canada.  Went back for dinner and joined Pat and Burt for a pilgrims meal at the alburgue.  Both of bus had beds in a dorm of 10.  A good day except for my right knee.  Nothing bad but troublesome.
